Omar Gaither Summer Sportsfest a Huge Success!

Charlotte, NC. - This summer, more than 500 people from the local area had the opportunity to join local sports celebrity and Philadelphia Eagles LB, Omar Gaither and other sports celebrities in hosting the inaugural Omar Gaither Sporstfest at Myers Park High School on July 9 & 10, 2008.

The Sportsfest consisted of a free football and cheerleading camp,  celebrity basketball game, and a celebrity bowling event.  Local kids  were provided with the opportunity to mix, mingle, and learn valuable insights from some NFL players in regards to what it takes to be successful in school, sports and life. Each participant received  excellent instructions from the HS coaching staff and also had the opportunity to mix it up with Omar and some of his NFL friends.
